bruce weber for ysl

duane just highlighted this bruce weber for ysl fashion short film to me.

i love bruce weber.

its probably one of the best fashion films i've seen as yet, imho.

theres lots of slagging of the video in the comments bit. but seriously, have they seen the other shit fashion films that are out there?

if this is "pretentious, irrelevant, an embarrassment, appalling" as quoted from the comments, i dont really want to know what they think of the other fashion films out there - a majority of which look the same and have completely no meaning or emotions at all, except having "video is cool, lets do it!" written all over it. gah. as it was discussed in my dissertation tutorial this medium or genre or whatever you want to call it, is still very much in its infancy. but this, to me, is a huge step forward for fashion films.

maybe i'm baised cause i just simply love bruce weber. but then, i'll have to say the subtitles are a bit on the large side =)
